Apply amazing Bokeh effect to your images files with Photoshop CC 2025 and Luminar Neo

First, read this tutorial if you haven't installed the Imagelys Plugin for Photoshop.

You can apply Bokeh effect to your images files very easily with Photoshop CC 2025 and Luminar Neo. For PC.

Step 1

With Photoshop, in the main menu, click to open and choose an image file.

Step 2

Then, click to New and create a new image in 8 bit mode and background color to white


 

Step 3

First, click to Background and convert to Layer. Then, into the Filter menu, click to Filter -> Imagelys -> Imagelys Picture Lab.


Step 4

First, In the main toolbar, click to open the Filters Explorer.
You can click these arrow buttons to show the type of desired filters. For now, use the Bokeh Textures.
Now, you can click the button to find these filters into the ToolPalette.



Now, in the ToolPalette, click of the filter icons of Bokeh-046. You can modify the Bokeh settings.

Step 5

If you have not already done, the software will ask you to download this Bokeh Texture.
Then, click to Apply the effect to the image.



After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, you can click the Validate button for validate your work and return to Photoshop. (Click to Yes and Quit)



 

Step 6

First, install the Imagelys Bokeh 1 preset for Luminar Neo by clicking here : www.imagelys.com/files/Imagelys_Bokeh_1.lnpc and open this file.
Next, close Luminar Neo.
Then, into the Filter menu of Photoshop, click to Filter -> Skylum Software -> Luminar Neo.





Step 7

Now, click Imagelys Bokeh 1 and you can edit this preset.
Click Edit tool.




Step 8

Now, click to Edits. You can modify this tool settings.


Click to Enhance AI tool.

Click to Structure AI.

Click to Denoise tool.

Click to Develop tool.

Step 9

Now, you can click the Apply button for validate your work and return to Photoshop.

Step 10

In Photoshop, first click to the orchid image. Then, click to Object Selection tool.



Then, click to the orchid for select it.



Then, in the main menu, click to Copy.



First, click to next image with the Bokeh. Then, in the main menu, click to Paste.




Step 11

In Photoshop, resize and place the orchid correctly.
