Apply amazing Watercolor effect to your images files with Photoshop Elements

First, read this tutorial if you haven't installed the Imagelys Plugin for Photoshop.

You can apply Watercolor effect to your images files very easily with Photoshop Elements. For Mac and PC.

Step 1

With Photoshop Elements, in the main menu, click to open and choose an image file.

Step 2

Now, in the main menu, click to Select and Duplicate Layer. And click to OK.




Step 3

Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 4

Now, the Imagelys plug-in is active. Do not close this dialog box till the end of process.
Wait the launching of Imagelys Picture Lab software.
Then, click to open the Filters Explorer in the main toolbar.

Step 5

You can click these arrow buttons to show the type of desired filters. For example, use the Watercolor effects.
Now, you can click the button to find these filters into the ToolPalette.

Step 6

Now, in the ToolPalette, click of the filter icons of Watercolor effect FAA 14. You can modify this filter settings.

Step 7

You can modify the Oil Painting 2 values to change the aspect of the Watercolor effect.



Step 8

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered filter will be displayed.
Now, click to validate your work.

Step 9

Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 10

Now, in the ToolPalette, find Watercolor Patterns 1 and click of the filter icons of Watercolor Patterns 48. You can modify this filter settings.

Step 11

You can modify the Watercolor Pattern values to change the aspect of the Watercolor Pattern effect. Now, Apply the effect.

 

Step 12

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, click to validate your work.

Step 13

The result is showed into Photoshop Elements.

Step 14

First in this toolbar, click to Lasso Tool, set the Feather value to 50 px and draw a curve around the dog.

Step 15

First, click to Copy. Next, click to Paste. You have created a new layer.

 

Step 16

Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 17

Now, the Imagelys plug-in is active. Do not close this dialog box till the end of process.
Wait the launching of Imagelys Picture Lab software.
Now, in the ToolPalette, find Watercolor Frame FAA and click of the filter icons of Watercolor Frame FAA 04. You can modify this filter settings.

Step 18

You can modify the Watercolor Frame values to change the aspect of the Watercolor Frame effect.



Step 19

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, click to validate your work.

Step 20

First, select the layer and add a mask.

Step 21

First, select the Layer 1 and click to Select All.

Step 22

Then click to copy this.

 

Step 23

Then, select this layer, now, press the Alt key and click to the mask. Next, click to Paste.

Step 24

First, hide the Layer 1. Then select the Background.
Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 25

Now, the Imagelys plug-in is active. Do not close this dialog box till the end of process.
Wait the launching of Imagelys Picture Lab software.
Now, in the ToolPalette, find Watercolor Patterns 1 and click of the filter icons of Watercolor Patterns 47. You can modify this filter settings.

Step 26

You can modify the Watercolor Pattern values to change the aspect of the Watercolor Pattern effect. Now, Apply the effect.


Step 27

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, click to validate your work.

Step 28

The result is showed into Photoshop Elements.
