Apply amazing Brush Strokes Texture to your images files with Photoshop Elements

First, read this tutorial if you haven't installed the Imagelys Plugin for Photoshop.

You can apply Texture with brush strokes effects inspired by Vincent Van Gogh to your images files very easily with Photoshop Elements. For Mac and PC only.

This tutorial uses two filters named Gogh FAA 08 and Gogh FAA 09 from the Imagelys Filter Library.

Step 1

With Photoshop Elements, in the main menu, click to open and choose an image file.

Step 2

Then, in the toolbar, click to Set Foreground Color and set the color value.

Step 3

First in this toolbar, click to Paint Bucket Tool. set the Tolerance value and to finish the work, to click into the sky.

Step 4

First in this toolbar, click to Magic Wand Tool, set the Tolerance value and to finish the work, to click into the sky.

Step 5

Now, in the main menu, click to Select and Inverse.

Step 6

Now, in the main menu, click to Adjust Color and Adjust Hue/Saturation.

Step 7

Now, set the Saturation parameters.



Step 8

Now, in the main menu, click to Adjust Lighting and Brightness/Contrast.

Step 9

Now, set the Contrast parameters.

Step 10

Now, click to Select All.

Step 11

First, click to Copy. Next, click to Paste.

 

Step 12

Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 13

Now, the Imagelys plug-in is active. Do not close this dialog box till the end of process.
Wait the launching of Imagelys Picture Lab software.

Step 14

The picture appears in the Imagelys Picture Lab work space. Then, click the ToolPalette.

Step 15

Now, in the ToolPalette, enter the filter name "Gogh FAA 08" into the search bar, then click one of the filter icons.

 

Step 16

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, you can click the Validate button for validate your work and return to Photoshop Elements.

Step 17

First in this toolbar, click to Magic Wand Tool, set the Tolerance value and to finish the work, to click into the sky.

Step 18

First, click to Copy. Next, click to Paste.



Step 19

First, hide the Layer 1. Then select the Background.
Now, in the main menu, choose the Imagelys Picture Lab plug-in.

Step 20

Now, the Imagelys plug-in is active. Do not close this dialog box till the end of process.
Wait the launching of Imagelys Picture Lab software.

Step 21

The picture appears in the Imagelys Picture Lab work space. Then, click the ToolPalette.

Step 22

Now, in the ToolPalette, enter the filter name "Gogh FAA 09" into the search bar, then click one of the filter icons.

 

Step 23

After a little while (the rightmost portion of the status bar shows the progress), the rendered effect will be displayed.
Now, you can click the Validate button for validate your work and return to Photoshop Elements.

Step 24

Then, click to Save as in the main menu and enter a filename.
